American Society of Plant Biologists
ASPB is a professional society devoted to the advancement of the plant sciences. It publishes two world-class journals - The Plant Cell and Plant Physiology – and organizes conferences, and other activities that are key to the advancement of the science.
The Plant Cell (Five-Year Impact Factor: 10.125) is published monthly (one volume per year). The online journal is the journal of record. Within three years of its initial publication in 1989, The Plant Cell ranked first in impact among journals publishing primary research in the plant biology. It has continued to maintain this standard of excellence ever since. The Plant Cell publishes novel research of special significance in plant biology, especially in the areas of cellular biology, molecular biology, genetics, development, and evolution. The primary criteria for publication are that the article provides new insight that is of broad interest to plant biologists, not only to specialists, and that the presentation of results is appropriate for a wide audience of plant biologists.
Plant Physiology (Five-Year Impact Factor: 7.084) is published monthly, in three volumes per year. The online journal is the journal of record. Established in 1926, Plant Physiology is an international journal devoted to physiology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, biophysics, and environmental biology of plants. Plant Physiology is one of the world’s oldest and most well-respected plant science journals.
